We understand that placement can happen overnight and families often don’t have time to plan for a child’s arrival in their home. We’re here to help. It is important to us that we offer families items they need and take pride in receiving.  All clothing, car seats, beds, bedding, toys and items distributed in Welcome Packs are NEW. On very rare occasions, in the instance of specific items such as high-end jogging strollers, double strollers, etc., we use discretion in accepting gently used donations from the community. Foster Village makes no claims, representations, or warranties (whether expressed or implied) as to the safety, reliability, durability, and performance of any of the items provided. Foster Village cannot accept liability whatsoever for the safety and reliability of the items we distribute.

At this time our volunteer team is available to deliver items to Douglas, Shawnee, Jefferson, Franklin, Leavenworth and Osage counties. If the placement home is out of these counties we would be glad to fill the request and have the caregiver or case worker pick up items at our Lawrence center. Thanks for your understanding!
