In-Kind Donations

We do not accept used donations for our Welcome Packs (which include clothing, toys, books, and stuffed animals). We have created a page on Facebook called Foster Village Lawrence Swap that is designated for gifting these sorts of gently used items directly to the families we serve.  

If you have a gently used stroller, baby swing, twin bed, or other large item, please contact us to see if we have space to store it or a family to pass it along to. Mattresses, cribs, and car seats can only be accepted new in the box.

When you provide basic necessities to a child in foster care, you give so much more than a bed to sleep in or a toy to play with; you let a child know he or she is loved, cared for, and valued. Your gift also helps relieve the burden and expenses foster families face, allowing them to focus on supporting the child in their care, not scrambling to find a car seat or clothes that fit during an already stressful time. 

Our resource centers are stocked by your donations with new items such as clothes, underwear, socks, toothbrushes, books, toys, beds, bedding, car seats, strollers, and more. Items you donate go directly to caring for children in the child welfare system. For safety reasons and to provide the most dignifying experience for the children we serve, we can only accept most items brand new.  Our needs are often changing based on inventory, season, and available storage space.
